HOW TO MAKE ZOBO DRINK WITH DATE FRUIT

This is a guide on how to make your favourite Zobo Drink with Date Fruit


Date fruit is one of the sweetest fruits around and also happens to come in many different varieties.
It is a natural sweetner meaning you dont need to add sugar to your zobo drink

Date fruit adds that sweet taste you are looking for naturally.

Now the question is how do i add dates to zobo drink during preparation?

INGREDIENTS

1. Roselle leaves (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) - Half of the small paint rubber 
2. 5 litres of clean water
3. Date Fruits (soak in water for about 6 hours and blend till it forms a paste) (N200 worth should be enough)
4. Fresh Pineapples (as required) (Peel,  blend and keep)
5. Flavour (optional)

PREPARATION

1. Wash the Hibiscus Sabdariffa leaves throughly to remove dust and dirts




2. Put the leaves in a big pot and add 5 litres of clean water





3. Boil till the leaves are pale red 

4. Sieve it

5. Add the blended date fruits and your flavour

6. Boil for about 5minutes 

7. Add your fresh pineapples and stir well

8. Turn off the fire and sieve again 

9. Allow it cool off, package it in plastic bottles and refrigerate 

10. Serve chilled


Let's take the steps in summary:

Step 1- Zobo leave + water - BOIL

Step 2- Seive the leaf out

Step 3- Zobo juice + blended date + flavour - BOIL

Step 5- Add the blended pineapples

Step 6- Sieve and allow to cool down

Step 7 -Serve as you desire
